## About Oli

Oli is a Development Engineer at bigHead, part of [Bossard Group](https://www.bossard.com/global-en/)
. He works closely with customers to understand fastening challenges, develop bespoke fastening solutions, and provide technical guidance on the selection and application of bigHead fasteners.

Based at [Cranfield Innovation Centre](https://www.cranfieldtechnologypark.co.uk/innovation-centre)
, Oli manages Bespoke Create enquiries, supporting projects from initial concept development through detailed design, and into production. Oli works together with bigHead colleagues in Cranfield and Verwood. Having joined bigHead following completion of an MSc in Automotive Engineering at Cranfield University, he has developed expertise in fastener design, fastening mechanics, and materials engineering.

## Engineering approach

Oli believes good engineering starts with asking the right questions. His approach centres on understanding the customer’s requirements, constraints, and success criteria before progressing into design development or providing guidance. This involves working closely with customers to review design concepts, load cases, manufacturing considerations, and engineering standards to ensure recommendations are justified and fit for purpose.

With a strong analytical mindset, Oli enjoys investigating engineering challenges to develop simple and effective solutions.
